Men Without Women is the first Murakami book I have actually read - I attempted Norwegian Wood but could not stick to it, maybe because it was a digital copy.

I am two stories down Men Without Women, both the stories have no ending as such - I think that’s the Murakami style - open ended!

Why I choose this book? Firstly because its a bunch of short stories, good to start with a new author or genre slowly. The title caught my eye - I think I am in that phase where I running a race against time finding a women myself to settle down. And I was open to some philosophy as well around this topic - and two chapters down I am definitely getting that philosophy - its not direct its pondering philosophy (I would have to think over the stories to build any concepts).

Well my explorations around the concept of marriage are not new Marriage and Visas, this is one of the first writings I published in this Garden.

I don’t intent to summarise the book here, instead I am trying to iron out what I learnt from this read.

Drive My Car

The first story is an actor who hires a young lady as his driver - it explores these two characters going into their past. The lady driver came through a difficult childhood and running from it. The actor lost his wife but later got to know she had an affair but does not know why she did this.
