Since humans have advanced enough to behold the power of Artificial Intelligence - it’s likely a good time for humans to focus more on problems that need a ’System Change’ and leave the incremental developments (nitpickings, betterments, tweaks) to the agentic workflows.
The solutions that are born to be an increment to the current system, might not be the greatest innovations for the future to come. For instance, modifying a rule based bot system that helps websites gain customers to a language model based bot system would only bring limited change that’s not worth a human brain’s investment. Technology Swapping we might call it - modify to the latest library pack, add AI to the solution, add AR-VR to the already working stuff.
Its not just about the loss of brain time ROI - a solution that is only an incremental change is very less likely to have a moat . Why? Because everyone with ChatGPT knows that’s a solution and anyone with Cursor can code and deploy it within a few days - a few more years likely a human may not even be involved into such solutions and a machine will outrun you instead.
What’s the System Change in that case - which I believe we should focus on?
- Identifies the Rootest of Root Causes and builds a solution without loopholes ground up
- Solves a problem Very Very Long Term without compromising the immediate necessities
- Is planned and strategic enough to survive “the long term” (sometime scalability defines if a system survives longterm)
