As a kid, I was very much into space - my first introduction to internet was searching through galaxies and information about space. I was also bit of a collector, Pokemon Cards and Stamps collection were some hobbies. Used to love playing games like being a librarian, I used to like playing with toy cars testing them in mud and emulating rainfall, would enjoy mixing fluids to experiment different mixtures and test their effects on an ant colony. To summarize, the curiosity and the want to experiment was something very core to me — added to this the excitement to collect.
Maybe we can explore collector as a theme of the website.
When I was introduced to Facebook, my posts were mostly rare animal photographs I used to find over internet. The most played computer game was Age of Empires - would enjoy spending hours building and developing an empire.
In terms of study, I was good enough to not be in the lower ranks, but I was neither the top ranker. I do not remember an instance where I cheated ever in an exam as a kid - I would rather think its much easy putting effort into study instead dealing with cheating strategies.
Post school, I opted to proceed as a Mechanical Engineer — the main proponent to this was my interest of Space transitioning into want to be an Aerospace Engineer. Since I did not receive a good college for Aerospace, Mechanical was the next best option for me.
I still enjoy being in touch with my Mechanical background - I love bikes, cars, aerospace vehicles and the want to build something mechanical radiates in me.
Software and entrepreneurship came in my life as a gateway or path to do the mechanical experiments I want. Software had a much easier entry point and higer growth - hence my first job was in sales for an IT company. This led to a transition to product management where I built software products with my team. I now have experience building complex software products, leadership skills, and also operation skills.
My jobs have led me to develop first principle thinking which I respect and incorporate now in every decisions I make. The jobs that I have done and my curiosity which lead to me asking myself questions have also led to me becoming somewhat philosophical - I like to think about life or concepts , get answers and document those on my blog. This is how I ended up writing essays.
I have grown to enjoy stories and storytelling communicated through people sharing their perspectives, or through movies and books. The introvert which I was became much more borderline extrovert in my hunger for stories.
I would like to website to be unique, I value being different even when things make it feel borderline weird. I imagine the website to have links to my projects as well as essays - and maybe a UI which is interactive and gamified (maybe we can use ThreeJS) which gives a unique experience to each user. And a place where people can share their stories with me. Maybe an idea corner or garage where people can pick ideas and collaborate.
What do you think can we make such a website which tries to communicate my personality?
