Critical Mass of users or devices that keeps a network resilient. The resilience might further develop into the network experiencing faster growth or optimum productivity (based on the product and its development purpose).
The term is named after Prof. Warder Clyde Allee who studied the population of fauna. I got introduced to this term through Andrew Chen’s Cold Start Problem.
Before coming across this term, I used to simply refer this threshold as a critical mass to make a networked campaign or product flourish.
